Community. The seeds of this hot rod buildup go back to when Colby Martin was a teenager in high school, scrounging around for parts to build a car.
“A guy in town built fat-fender Fords, and I asked him if he had any hot rod parts. He did, an original Ford axle with heated and stretched ends. I paid him $60 for it, brought it home, and said to my dad, ‘We can build a hot rod now.’ He said, ‘Good. Tell your mom I need tools.’
