I’ve mentioned The Drive Home in previous posts now you can get a proper feel for the event.

Since 2016, The Drive Home – organized by America’s Automotive Trust – has run a caravan of classic cars and trucks cross-country to Detroit, Michigan, arriving in time for the opening of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in mid-January. The winter use of classic vehicles is not without its detractors, but this year’s The Drive Home IV, which departed Houston, Texas on January 3 and arrived in Detroit, Michigan on January 12, will mark the last time the event is held on salt-encrusted roads. This video, produced by Derek Klein Films and courtesy of LeMay – America’s Car Museum, gives a sense of what it was like to be part of the journey, and why the annual trek is so important to the hobby.
