Restored by Spartan Garage students, a “Baby ‘Bird” is this year’s classic car raffle – Kurt Ernst @Hemmings

Each year, students enrolled in the automotive technology program at East Syracuse Minoa Central High School in New York state have the opportunity to help restore a classic car, or in some cases, build a kit car from the ground up. When the work is completed, the finished product is raffled off, with proceeds going to fund the following year’s program. For 2019, the Spartan Garage — named for the high school’s mascot – is restoring a 1955 Ford Thunderbird, with the winner to be drawn at the Syracuse Nationals on July 21.
