Without doubt one of the best classic car shows in the area is the one at Pangbourne College. Fantastic friendly event, lovely venue and very well organised. Around 350 cars very well displayed through out the grounds.

As you can see we were given a really nice spot amongst John Cochran’s very original Fordor and a tidy Hot Rod in the Ford section.

As always we feature the vehicles from across the pond or with a connection no matter how tenuous!

We’ve picked our show favourites.

First up is the 1904 curved dash Oldsmobile owned by Joy Rainey. This is a famous car that Joy used for a solo crossing of the US. This is an amazing example which looks as if it’s just driven out of the Oldsmobile factory. R.E. would be proud!

Joy has written a book detailing her adventure called “Joy Across America”

Next up is a beautiful Chrysler Series 60 Phaeton from 1927. A really stunning example.

Last but not least of the standout cars is this fine example of a 1929 Desoto K Series Convertible.

Here are some of the rest of the US based vehicles at the show, looking forward to next year!
