Ford announced that it will be offering a California Special edition with its S650-generation Mustang. The new 2024 Ford Mustang GT/CS will be on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The history of the California Special Mustang continues: It remains as an appearance package available only on the Mustang GT. The 2024 Mustang GT/CS, available as a coupe or convertible, includes a choice of two 19-inch wheel styles, one being a more subtle grey color and the other highlighted with Rave Blue. Blue and black striping down each door and rear fender gives the appearance of speed. The blue accents also adorn the grille “nostril” intake surrounds and the GT/CS badging throughout.
Inside, the interior features blue accent stitching on the seats and dashboard and Rave Blue “California Special” lettering on the dashboard. Other interior gadgets and appearance attributes depend on what options are selected for the GT.
Much like the 2024 Mustang GT, the GT/CS is equipped with the fourth-generation 5.0-liter V8 Coyote engine and is offered with the choice of a 10-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.
