After many years of owning the Chevy S10 Xtreme I finally got around to securing a pair of RHD headlamps from a UK market Blazer.

Understandably due to the age and coming from a breakers they are a little crusty. Don’t be fooled, they are are in great shape for the cost involved. The breaker also included all the bracketry and clips in the very well packed box.

Look forward to cleaning these up and fitting them, being able to see properly at night will be a real bonus!

Many are only good for parts, but among them Tom finds an R-code Torino, a vintage White 706 tour bus from Yellowstone, and a low-mile Lincoln Continental Mk III. This pair – including a Pontiac GTO with a stick – is just a morsel of what we found inside.

As it seems to be the case either side of the pond breakers/wrecking yards are going the way of drag strips and other motoring icons. The decline is generally being caused by the value of the property that they inhabit or general nimbyism.

Read David Conwill’s article at Hemmings documenting the demise of the last yard in Utah.

It’s a sad state of affairs that is hitting the affordable end of the hobby hard.
